blind eye to.

It's a modern day slave trade in this country every day, only it's not not public it happens online behind the scenes but it's a crisis in this

country that we can't afford to ignore anymore so this is part two so today I want to talk about what Jeff's experience was like protecting

Presidents of the United States. Jeff welcome back to part two of Battleground. Thanks for coming back.

Oh no I'm honored to be here again thank you. So you have you've done just so much with your career you're a Pittsburgh guy like me

Western Pennsylvania but I want to talk about how you get selected for and correct me if I'm not saying this properly but

the presidential protection detail on the secret service because that's that's

not an assignment that everybody gets right?

Yeah, correct. You know, the actual number of people who are assigned to the president's details classified,

but it is something that not every secret service agent gets to do and it's very frankly something I'm proud I was able to achieve and it's you know it happens for you in in a couple of ways you know they look they look at your assignments prior

They look at you know recommendations from your bosses they look at your shooting scores. They look at your PT scores. So there's several components that go into it.

And part of it is very frankly,

you know, a lot of your bosses will have been there and they'll know whether or not you're going to be a good fit.

And look, there are other opportunities. It's not like it's that or nothing. There's the Vice President C, there's former president detail, presidential details.
