Bridport in Dorset. On the other end of the line, he heard the voice of his late parents' nurse Norrine O'Connor, who told him

that he needed to come to Gardine at once because something terrible had happened.

Gardine was the property Peter's father had left to Norin after his death two years earlier. It was there where 46-year-old

Noreen lived with the family's previous nurse 77-year-old Marie. After making the 50-mile journey
