They were over the moon.

They had engineered,

there's a lot of people involved in this scheme.

They had engineered the whole thing.

It was all supposed to work just right.

The public was, this was what the public was supposed

to perceive,

because the public has just voted for Ken Paxton

to be the attorney general for four more years.

It's actually very popular, doing a good job.

So, even though they keep bringing charges

in these districts to turn and think of the Trump situation,

you get a, you know, when I was in law school,

there was a raid on then US Senator K. Bailey Hutchison's office

and it was conducted by Ronnie Earl.

Ronnie Earl was the old school kind of a Huey Long Democrat,

progressive liberal labor Democrat,

the old fashioned 1930s, 1940s Democrat.

And he was the king of Travis County.
