Media has always had great influence over us, whether it's an entertainment, whether it's

politics.

They exert great time effort into manipulating what we think, what we see, and it is no different.

It is surprising to me how much of it was going on in the early 90s in the pages of so many

of the common book magazines that covered the common book business.

Today, we take a deep dive.

We read directly from their words.

We share their words, no manipulation on our part.

We just share with you some of the ways that they were trying to influence what you

collect, how you collected it, and the people and the talents that you liked.

them. But my favorite, my absolute favorite is discussing the source material, the actual comic books and the brilliant

creators that made them, because as I have stated, time and time and time again, without

the kick-ass comic book creators that I grew up with, that you grew up with, there's nothing

to film, no movies to made, no, no, no streaming shows to make, no action figures to sculpt. There's nothing.

The toy aisles are empty. The movie theaters are playing you something else. And the streaming

services are looking even harder and deeper to find some sort of content that is going to, you know,
