Summary

Ghislaine Maxwell is due before Congress today — but don't expect to learn much new. Maxwell, the longtime co-conspirator of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, will sit for a deposition before the House Oversight Committee, where she is expected to plead her Fifth Amendment rights. Still, the appearance is sure to put the Epstein saga back in the spotlight as lawmakers also begin to look over the unredacted files. Playbook's Jack Blanchard and senior legal affairs reporter Kyle Cheney break down what you need to know.

Kyle, thank you so much for joining us. It's great to have you on the show. Great to be with you. For those of you that don't know, and you all already know who Carl Cheney is, but for the two of you, we've only just tuned into politics over the first time. Carl Cheney is, of course, our expert legal watcher. We've got him on the podcast for the first time in ages because there's some big legal stuff happening today. And that's why we've got Kyle and Carl. It's great to have you on through expertise. I'm just going to talk for one minute about the Super Bowl before we get on to the legal stuff because I'm sure it's one of the main thing that everyone is going to be talking about this morning. morning not the football which was kind of, you know, but the half-time show, of course, was the big story, right? Bad Bunny, well, you know, America somewhat divided on this, but Bad Bunny gave a raucous performance,

Were you surprised to see him posting on truth how much he hated the whole thing?

1:56.7

Well, I surprised, no.

1:57.9

What I think was surprising about it was how much it actually juxtaposed what we actually saw on the halftime show, which was not the sort of polarizing and divisive message. I think some people expected we might see. And so the president's message kind of a little discordant with that. It seemed like he maybe had that in his mind before he saw the show. Yeah, it didn't quite chime with the way my buddy
