Hello again, I'm Marvin Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International.

A daily look at the issues Americans care about most. Last Friday, the EPA took what President Obama called the single most

important step America's ever taken against climate change. But even before the sun went down,

24 states and a host of powerful private interests filed lawsuits against his clean power plan. The stage is set for a historic

battle about changing the way we generate electricity and the consequences of switching from

fossil fuels to renewables. Public health and the health of the planet will be part of the action,

along with America's utility bills. Today's talking point, can America's history of racism be overcome?
