Summary

If you can understand the book of Hebrews, you'll understand most of the Bible.Hebrews is the key to the Old Testament and shows us how to see Jesus in all of the Scriptures. I'll be doing an overview of the entire book today but moving slowly through Hebrews in subsequent videos in this series. This is just the beginning of a new verse-by-verse study through the book of Hebrews. I'll cover Christology, bibliology, soteriology, apologetics, cults, Hebrew Roots, and so much more. We'll go deep into complex topics, but in a way that's meant to be accessible for normal people. 0:25.0	book and I think it's going to change your life like I really I say this you know you're
0:29.0	online so you hear stuff like this all the time the book of Hebrews has really radically impacted my life. It changed the
0:34.6	way I view the Bible as a whole. When I read the book of Hebrews, I understood the entirety
0:39.7	of scripture so much better. I believe it will have that impact on you the way that you
0:44.4	see Jesus and so much more the practicality in your life of dealing with
0:48.1	hardships and difficulties, understanding what faith is and all sorts of other things. So the whole book today, we're going to move
0:56.5	pretty fast, then go real slow. When I go slow, okay I got to give you the
1:00.1	little bit of a preview before we launch into Hebrew one in just a moment.
1:05.1	When I go slow I will deal with doctrinal detours.
1:07.5	I will also deal with apologetic insights.
1:09.6	For instance how that's like defending the Christian faith, how Hebrews 11 gives us a bold
1:16.1	statement about the nature of the universe which was only recently
1:20.0	scientifically confirmed and settled within the last hundred years.
1:24.0	That's some pretty interesting data right there about sort of scientific foreknowledge you might call it or whatever, whatever you want to call it.
1:31.0	And we'll talk about that, those sorts of things. I'm also going to be doing
1:33.8	as we go through Hebrews, maybe we get either four or six. When we get to one of those chapters,
1:39.1	as we do it slowly and methodically, I'll do a little project on can you lose your salvation a topic that has been hotly requested by me for many years and which I have not done a video on
