Hello and welcome and first, I would like to wish everyone

a belated and it's only belated because this show happens just once

week, Veterans Day. What do we do on Veterans Day?

We rightfully honor our armed forces. Whether that's with a parade or

a simple social media post, the idea is that we take a second and we give

thanks to the people who actively served our country overseas.

What did I do on Veterans Day? Well, if I'm being honest,

I went to my local butcher shop. I was completely overwhelmed. My husband was

traveling so I was playing the part of a single mom who needed to begin

preparations to host Thanksgiving in a house that isn't even completely

furnished. Trust me, I know that sounds really,

really bratty. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that on Veterans Day,

I was completely distracted. I was not focused enough on the true

meaning of the day. Now, whether you believe in God or you believe in the

magic of the universe or the more simple concept of

situation of irony, I can tell you that throughout my life it has always been

the case that when I'm caught up, so to speak, caught up in me,

the real stuff has a way of finding me. I'm talking about the bigger and more

important stuff. It just has a way of knocking me right off my feet.
