0:18.4

speech at a board meeting in Oklahoma City of the Indian Health Services. In this speech she

0:24.4

proclaims quote we have a new enemy and the enemy is the knife. What she's

0:29.7

referring to is the fact that Dr. Yuri had just visited an IHS facility in which she

1:19.3

age in these regions had been sterilized is just kind of stunning and over the coming years

1:24.1

there would be protests congressional hearings there's a march on Washington that

1:27.7

featured tens and tens of thousands so let's talk about these forced

1:31.4

sterilizations

1:32.5

among Native American communities targeting Native American women.
