The so-called decline and fall of the Roman

Empire too often erases the victims of their repeated imperial victories and

revivals when it was faced with challenges. In fact, the decline in fall of Rome

has often been invoked as a lesson for nations throughout history, starting with Rome and moving forward to this very day.

The Romans honored their history and its heroes, and we have inherited a history that tells us we to beware

decadence, moral decline and above all outsiders. However not all Roman historians

saw Roman history that way.

What they saw in the empire's repeated renewals
