Welcome to Inside the Hive. I am your host Nick Bilton. I have no idea why I sound like I worked for the worldwide wrestling federation. Anyway, so after Donald Trump became president, there was something that a lot of people were discussing that we have been waiting for for a long time.

No, I'm not talking about impeachment because I don't think that's ever going to happen, but I am talking about his first constitutional crisis. So people said it was going to happen, it was

going to happen, it was bound to happen, Trump doesn't play by the rules, he would eventually face

something in Congress and this is finally happening and it is happening because

after Donald Trump and all those Republicans lost all those seats in the midterms, those House seats.

Trump had a little temper tantrum, which he does, and he fired his attorney general, Jeff Sessions.

Now I do believe that Jeff Sessions deserved to be fired, but what I don't believe is that he deserved to be

fired, but what I don't believe is that he deserved to be replaced by

Matthew Whitaker, who is now the acting attorney general and is not qualified for

the job in any way shape or form.

In fact, Whitaker is so unqualified for the job

that there have been a slew of Republicans coming out

saying that he needs to step down. There have been lawsuits

filed saying that he should step down and a lot of people are predicting that

this could be the constitutional crisis we've been waiting for. So I decided we should have an

expert on to discuss it. So I'd like to welcome Katie Benner to the show. She

covers the Justice Department for the New York Times and was part of the team that won a Pulitzer

Prize last year for her incredible reporting on workplace sexual harassment.

She wrote a piece about Google recently that calls the Google Walkout.
