A note from show Creator and host Mike Morford:

"I stepped away from hosting duties in 2024 but continued to produce the show. Host Eric Cater-Landin took over hosting duties, but due to personal reasons, had to step away from the podcast. At this point, after careful consideration, I have decided to end the show. It's been my honor to create this show and provide a platform to families of the murdered, to discuss their loved one's case, and how it affected them. Sometimes, in cases that were still unsolved, we were able to shine a light on the case to help generate tips and leads, in an effort to help see resolution. In some solved cases we've covered, we heard from families who had received justice for their loved one, but were not fighting to keep their killer behind bars. Thank you to the dozens of families who trusted me, and have shared your stories with me, and our listeners. I hope that I was able to present your story in the most respectful and accurate way possible. And to the listeners; Thank you for supporting not just the show, but for also supporting the guests that we had on who opened up to us about something so tragic and personal. 0:05.6	several weeks, there haven't been new episodes of the show. If you recall, in 2024, I had to step
0:11.8	away from hosting duties on the show. I continued to produce the show with Eric Carter-Landine
0:17.0	hosting it. Unfortunately, Eric had to step away from the show due to personal reasons, and I wish them all the best.
0:24.5	That's left me with a difficult decision, to end the podcast.
0:28.7	Unfortunately, I just don't have the bandwidth and necessary time to keep the show going.
0:33.4	I won't lie, the stories of all the lost lives we've shared on the show have taken a personal
0:38.2	soul on me as well, and they've affected me greatly. That being said, I'd like to say thank you
0:44.0	to the families and guests that have come on the podcast over the past five plus years to share
0:48.9	their stories. The fact that you put your trust and faith in us to help share your stories
0:53.9	in a tasteful and respectful manner means a lot to me, and I'll be forever grateful.
0:59.6	I started this show to get to know the people behind the news headlines who lost their lives.

1:07.5	In addition, their families opened up about the ripple effect that their loved ones' deaths had on them
1:12.2	and how they dealt with it, both in the short term and long term.

1:23.1	The Murder My Family, being an indie podcast, was never a giant podcast in the way of audience size or on the charts.
1:30.5	That being said, people noticed the show in the role that it served.
1:34.7	Magazines like Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire were kind enough to include the Murder My Family on their recommended podcast list.
1:41.7	And while it's always nice to receive recognition for your work,
1:44.5	it was never the goal of the show to receive accolades. Rather, it was to provide loved ones
