Alyssa, what is the go-to thing you do in order to avoid doing work you should be doing but don't want to do?

I vacuum. You vacuum. I vacuum and I wipe the countertops. You wipe the countertops. What's the

most elaborate work- avoiding activity that you've done? I've given Midge the cat a bath.

How did that go? So, you know, she has no teeth, so I have to give her a bath because she can't get her own mats out,

so it has to happen, but sometimes I'll just be sitting here and I'm like God I look at my

to do list and it's so immense and I'm like but if I gave midge a bath right now that would be

taking something off my to do list in like a month. And so I suds her up, I rinse her down,

and then I blow her out.

Oh my gosh, I take the dog to the park.

That's the thing that I do to avoid doing work because it's like I'm

I'm sparking joy. You are. You're getting fresh air. Yeah nothing he loves more than going

to the park but it's also like I'm not doing the things that I need to do.

And also the over under that he might hurt himself and you have to take him to the vet after that is also at least 20%.

Oh he's been... that is also at least 20%.

Oh, he's been, he's a pretty durable dog

despite all of his stuff.

But he has had some incidents over this past year.

He got sprayed in the face by a skunk. He still

smells a little bit like skunk. Oh, buddy. Yeah, he heard, I know, he didn't, he

thought he was making a friend. He hurt his paw. He cut his foot, so I had to like apply a bandage and stuff but yeah overall he's a pretty healthy dog so

Yeah, that's how I avoid doing work is trying to bring joy to other creatures that don't understand what I'm doing.
