today to discuss the United States Supreme Court ruling in the Dobbs v. Jackson case

that overturned the federal right to an abortion established half century ago in the case

Roe v. Wade. This decision was anticipated to work out this way, and over the last year, we have covered

Dobbs v. Jackson from many angles, and now that the decision has been made final, and this

codified right is, you know, quote unquote, being kicked back to the states, we've asked

the guests who have helped us cover this along the way back on the show to talk about what

happens now that Roe is dead.

So first we have Abby Cardis.

Abby is a perinatal epidemiologist who has studied the way that health capitalism intersects

with pregnancy in the United States, resulting in disastrous health outcomes.

Abby is also currently a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University School of Public Health
