Bungy announced it will ship the final content update for Destiny 2 on June 9th.

Maybe that's what I meant.

Destiny 2 is 9 June 9th.

After months of fan speculation driven by falling player numbers, delays, the release of a new bungee shooter you may have heard of, Marathon.

Bungee stressed that Destiny 2 will remain online. It will remain playable after active development ends.

Two years after the latest or the last major expansion, which is called the Final Shape,

Bungi says it's time for the studio to, you know, move on for Destiny, quote,

to live beyond Destiny 2.

Hmm, that's intriguing, though it did stop short of confirming a sequel,

only promised, you know, more details at a later date.

So you got to wait for that.

Fan reaction, been pretty sharp, been pretty negative from what I saw online, which is,

I suppose to be expected because it's, you know, like end of an era sort of thing and changes

hard.

But many see this as mismanagement of Sony's $3.6 billion bungee deal and a risky bet.
