In the beginning of Chapter 9,

we have a very keen insight to this man Daniel.

And we understand why God has declared of Him

that he was greatly loved by God.

For Daniel greatly loved God and he loved the word of God.

And his obvious knowledge and love for the word is revealed here in the ninth chapter.

As he understands the plight of the nation Israel and the reason for their plight he sees behind

the issues that caused their being destroyed and now being

captives in the Persian Empire which has supplanted at this point the Babylonian Empire,
