Summary

This week Seth and Bill welcome back historian Dave Holland to talk about the last few weeks on Guadalcanal as the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Raider Battalion and US Army attempt to wipe out the remaining Japanese on the island. The trio discusses the Long Patrol, Gifu, Sea Horse and Galloping GHorse as the campaign ashore winds mercifully down to a finale.

I just don't want a little Sergeant Major to be waking me up at 5 o'clock in the morning to go do PT. Yes. So if I was a Marine, I might potentially do that. So I'm a former Marine. You don't own me. Play it safe. Play it safe.

1:48.0	As the campaign for Guadalcanal winds mercifully down, we're going to shift gears here a bit and focus on some of the other events that happened towards the very end of the campaign on the island.
1:59.0	And these are the actions that occurred in the later months, latter months
2:01.9	of the campaign, November, December, January, January, 1943. Those other forces, of course,
2:09.0	that I'm referring to, not just First Marine Division or the Raiders or First Raiders or anything.
