Hello and welcome to the transfer window, the podcast that brings you the news before it becomes news. And also, of course, best insight analysis and all the debates that are taking place in football.

I'm in McGarry and joining me as ever is Duncan Castles.

It's been a busy week as the international break comes to her close.

And of course, we go back into domestic club football all over Europe.

Duncan yesterday there was a meeting of what they like to call the Premier League stakeholders at a London hotel, where our sources tell us directly from people in the room, as it were.

There were some fiery exchanges over more than one issue regarding what's been going on both this summer and what

will happen coming up. Top of the agenda was the transfer window timings. And of course, as of

last summer, as we all know, the English Premier League had decided to close their window for business on all fronts just ahead of the Premier League campaign beginning.

The modus operandi of this was that they felt like all squads would be settled, clubs would have done their business,

and therefore it was a level playing field for everyone. However, I think, as you will know,

having listened to the podcast over the last three weeks, when, of course, clubs in England

could no longer trade nor deal, while European clubs could. There have been huge complaints and matters of great dissatisfaction from coaches such as Pep Guardiola,

New York and Klopp and also Murcia Potchitino.
