Tonight are we reading The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim.

Chapter 2 and 3

In the previous chapter, Mrs Wilkins had plucked up the courage to speak to Mrs. Arbuthnot

after noticing that she too was daydreaming about an advertisement for an Italian castle available

for holiday lodging. After learning a little bit about the dull, timid life of Mrs Wilkins

and the pious yet repressed life of Mrs. Arbuthnot, we leave the two ladies at the start of seriously

considering the idea of a holiday together, albeit only to themselves. Now that we're

caught up with the story so far, Let's get ourselves ready for sleep.

Start by taking a deep, relaxing breath and settle your body in whatever way feels most comfortable.
