Chapter 22

In the previous chapters, Ferdinand de Rundle was revealed to in fact be Frederick Arbethnot, Rose's husband.

Upon finding Frederick in one of the sitting rooms, Rose was overjoyed, unaware that he was

very confused to find her there. Nevertheless, Frederick remained silent on the matter,

intimating that he had in fact come to

see Rose, but was worried what might happen when faced with Lady Caroline at dinner.

Fortunately, Lady Caroline, interpreting what had happened, played the oblivious party, making Rose and everyone else none the wiser.

Now that you're caught up with the story so far, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
