My name's Andrew. Thanks for joining me. Tonight, I'll be reading The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim. Chapter 20 and 21. In the previous chapter,

Lady Caroline was truly dismayed at the stupefying effect she had on Mr. Briggs,

with all of the guests of San Salvatore noticing it too.

In an attempt to escape his unwanted advances, she quietly made her way to the front garden without notice. However, up along the path came another infatuated acquaintance who had followed her

from London, a Mr. Ferdinand de Rundle, and she was forced to invite him in for dinner out of civility.

Now that we're caught up with the story so far, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
