Hello pod, I'm Chris Eud and welcome to this very very special podcast to mark the passing of yet

another year for which I am joined by three colleagues of such lethal cunning we have

our geek queen Helena Harrah. Hello. Who is Sharon a microphone, the ignimony, with our editor-in-chief

the wondrous Terry White. We are, I mean, I don't want to make a thing out of it being the two women

on this podcast who are being forced to share what are they? How do they know this would come up?

How do they know? We are like Pepsi and Shirley of the Empire pod. It's so good. No wonder it's Pepsi.

And James Dyer is also here, which is nice, I guess. Hi. How are you? I'm good on my own mic,

which I have all to myself here. Can I just say that this was not planned in this way? We thought we

had a four microphone studio. Turned out we only had a three microphone studio and the order in which

the microphone to be assigned are the order in which you entered the room. So it was basically

like musical chairs but with microphones. You are the editor. You could pull rank. Well James in his

typical gentlemanly. Hang on. Burst into the room first. Hang on.

Hang on. Hang on. On the one hand you're vowing sexism but on the other hand you're promoting

old school showeredism. So how does this work? Because I use whichever bit see the

other one. I thought we need this about one another. Amazing.

I actually think James to share a mic is he's the one most likely to trample other people's jokes

and it would be it would be helpful but here we are. 100%

Landrous truth. Yes and we already established before the podcast began and we were trying not to talk

over each other. There's something that James has already invalidated. Mainly because he's not

looking at anybody. He's just on his phone like the selfish fucking Nimrod he is.
