Hello everyone, you are listening to Red Menace and we are here this month for another one of our current events episodes.

So if you don't know we're a podcast that got started off

primarily by doing summaries of left-wing and revolutionary theory.

And while we still do that, we now alternate every month

between discussing that kind of theory and discussing various current events.

Because obviously as we have moved into 2020, we've all seen how much of a shit show this year is.

And there is quite a lot to talk about that needs to be discussed and it's our opinion that

theory is not something that just stays in the past but it's something that has

you know implications for where we're on now and it would be a failure on our

project in some ways not to sort of embrace the current

moment and to deal with it.

So we today are going to be talking about a bunch of things that are happening right now, and

next month we are going to be going back to a theory episode. And for this one we're going to do things a little bit differently

instead of focusing in on a specific text next month we're going to go ahead and do sort of a Marxism

101 because obviously the current conditions right now have a lot of people

interested in Marxism in theory more broadly and we think that we can provide some

insights there so we're going to go ahead and do a slightly different episode

but with the still theoretical focus next month and we

really look forward to hearing from you all. So with that said we have a number of

things that we want to get into today you know it's when you're looking at the

last few months of 2020 it's almost hard to figure out
