The issue of layoffs, I've been fortunate and I've never been laid off.

I've been unfortunate in that I've had to layoff.

To me, a layoff is very different than a firing.

A layoff is letting someone go who's otherwise doing good work.

And a San Francisco-based cyber cybersecurity firm called Cloud Fair dismissed about 60 employees last

week for not meeting performance standards.
