Paramount has emerged as the winner in the battle to control Warner Brothers Discovery.

Paramount has emerged as the winner in the battle to control Warner Brothers Discovery.

In the high roller poker game to win the coveted prize of Warner Brothers Discovery,

the billionaire owned Paramount Skydance pushed all its chips into the middle.

Paramount topped $31 per share for all of WBD,

and Swedened its proposal in lots of other ways,

enough to lead the WBD board to say that Paramount's bid was superior.

Netflix had been the frontrunner to acquire the umbrella company over HBO, TNT, DC Comics,

and of course, CNN.
