Summary

Expedition kayakers Ben Stookesberry and Chris Korbulic have what is perhaps the longest running, most successful partnerships in outdoor adventure, but, in April 2017, on an expedition to the Colombian Amazon, the team dynamics grew so strained that being held hostage by an armed rebel group didn’t seem like the worst thing that could have happened. In Part II, we’ll get into the history of this epic partnership, what went so wrong, and what happens moving forward.

1:19.2	travel horror story? Okay well I don't know if this is the best one or not but
1:23.8	it's the one that comes immediately to mind. So I was 19. My friend John and I
1:30.9	had been on the road together and a group of us were sitting in a buddy's RV in
1:35.2	this campground of a bouldering area in Utah. It was late at night John and I
1:40.8	started to bicker over something just the subtle jab here and there but
1:45.8	gradually the jab's turned by subtle. I walked outside. John followed me and in
1:51.7	the open air our argument escalated into a yelling match which was strange
