Israel's Prime Minister has warned the fighting in Gaza will be long and difficult as the ground invasion inside the Palestinian territory continues to gather momentum.

Israeli Defence Forces launched hundreds of strikes on Hamas targets over the weekend and more troops are operating within Gaza's border as the violence shows no sign of letting up.

There are reports that Hamas is preventing foreign nationals from leaving the Gaza Strip.

And also back here at home, there's more clamour for a ceasefire.

Kirstarmer is under severe pressure to do something other than to say basically that Israel

should have some kind of possible pause or certainly should have the right to continue

to defend themselves.
