| 0:12.4 | minutes. I would encourage you. Let's take a deep breath, |
| 0:16.0 | push aside the stress that you're looking forward to in the day. I mean the things you know are coming |
| 0:21.5 | that you're kind of dread. aside even the good things right now so that we can clarify who we are |

| 0:47.1 | The effects of being loved by God did you know that when you're loved and you truly accept that love and understand that love it has an effect on you. |
| 0:58.0 | There's an outcome, a result that happens in your life. |
| 1:02.0 | You begin to live differently in light of that love. |
| 1:05.6 | And I guess the opposite could be true that if you are hated and you are |
| 1:10.9 | despised that would have an effect on you as well. You see we are not |
| 1:15.8 | islands unto ourselves as human beings. We are impacted by the things around us |
| 1:21.6 | sometimes on a very deep level. And my hope for this |
| 1:25.1 | episode is that you come to understand on that very deep level how the love of God affects you, how it can change you from the |
| 1:38.5 | inside out. Now Paul is writing to this church in the city of Rome where he's never been, but he knows |
| 1:47.0 | the impact the love of God can have on them. |
| 1:50.0 | And he's already pointed out that they are loved by God because they have been called to be |
| 1:56.5 | Saints. That means through their faith in Jesus Christ, they've taken on a new role, a new |
| 2:02.2 | position in the universe. |
| 2:04.7 | They are now a saint of God, one who is called according to his purpose, and by virtue |
| 2:10.9 | of that calling, they are recipients of God's love. |
