Welcome back to the Edds. I'm Eddie Judge. And I'm Edwin Arayave. And today we are going to talk

about a topic that's a bit on the heavy side, but an important one.

It's grief.

And I bring this up because my dear friend, Edwin, has been MIA, you know, last couple of shows,

and we're going to talk about why.

You know, it's an important topic and I'd like to hear what you've been up to brother

yeah i've been away because unfortunately one of my biggest fears in life came true which was

losing a parent and my dad passed so that was quite the hit um i wasn't i mean i wasly, I thought he would live a couple more years.

But the truth of the matter, he was 82, so he did live a long time. But he just had had his

birthday, December, you know, in December. And I had just talked to him, and he probably looked the best I've seen him look in years.

I mean, just lively.

The last thing I thought was he was going to pass.

Yeah.

And I was supposed to go visit him two weeks after his birthday.

And then, of course, a week after that, I get a call that he's at the hospital and about to be intubated

and actually he was already intubated at the time so I didn't even get a chance to really talk to him

and then they told me it was not going to be a big deal just the pneumonia that he caught

although he did have bad lungs.

He had like chronic lung issues, but they were like, it's going to be okay.

And then about 10 days later, it wasn't getting better.
