Today we're going to be discussing the economy today and how politicians might be missing the mark.

0:06.7

What's interesting about this is a lot of people, you know, know that Jerome Powell was appointed by President Trump at the time.

0:14.7

And they also know that, you know, they don't get along right now, right?

0:19.4

And of course, Kevin Warsh is going to be the new Fed chair.

0:22.8

But what they may not know, which is when Trump was in office from 28 to 2019,

0:31.0

was that the Fed actually raised rates more than they cut them.

0:35.0

Now, a one little caveat.

0:37.3

In Trump's last year in office, do you remember what

0:39.8

happened? COVID. Yeah, Reese went to like nothing. So COVID, right? So then 2020, but one thing that is for

1:19.5

So as AI rolls out and as all this stuff kind of, you know, comes out over this year,

1:24.9

and we all know that the job numbers, there's, there's,

1:29.2

there's what they announced. Then there's revision one. Then there's revision two. And then there's

1:34.6

the annual revision. And sometimes there's even more revisions. And so, you know, those numbers that

1:39.5

they come out with that the media reports aren't always accurate and there's revisions later but what's

1:45.5

interesting is 2025 we haven't really seen the real numbers right yeah and I think to really

1:52.8

get back to you know the cheap money angle you know I know that everyone's pushback is that

1:59.5

rates really aren't that high, but our whole
