To turn with me in your Bibles to Psalm 63, this is a text for Pastor John's sermon this morning.

Psalm 63, oh God, thou art my God, I shall seek thee earnestly. My soul thirst for thee, and my flesh yearns for

thee in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Thus I have beheld the in the sanctuary to see thy power and thy glory.

Because thy loving kindness is better than life.

My lips will praise thee. So I will bless thee as long as I live. I will

lift up my hands in thy name. My soul is satisfied as with For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings I sing for joy.

My soul clings to thee, and thy right hand upholds me.

But those who seek my life to destroy it will go into the depths of the earth.

They will be delivered over to the power of the sword, and they'll be a prey for foxes. But the king will rejoice in God.

Everyone who swears by Him will glory, for the mouths of those who speak lives will be stopped.

The fear of hell is a good and helpful thing.

Jesus said, do not fear those who kill the body and after, have nothing more that they can do. Fear him who, after he has killed, can

cast soul and body into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. In other words, fear the judgment of God.

Last week's text was Romans 1120, and 22 it went like this, do not become proud but fear.

Behold the kindness and the severity of God, not just the severity but also the kindness,

not just the kindness but also the severity and when you behold the severity and the kindness do not become proud but fear.

Hebrews 1031 says,

it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hell is a horrible reality. To my knowledge,

hell has never been overstated in its terribleness.

Neither in art that I've ever seen or in visual, I mean in words, descriptions.

It is so awful, I don't think it can be overstated.
