Hello.

And my name is Todd Haymans, and we are two ministers slash buds

who love telling the stories of the Bible.

And today is Monday of Easter. of the is we're going to give y'all an account of what was happening in the life of Jesus

and those that he was around on this day leading up to Easter Sunday.

Absolutely so we are on Monday and last night

Sunday night Jesus stayed in a town just outside of Jerusalem a town called

Bethany and this was a very familiar place to him because he was probably

staying with his friends, Lazarus, Mary, and Martha. You know, Lazarus, Mary, and Martha,

Lazarus had been raised from the dead. Mary and Martha and Martha these sisters were very familiar with their story.

Well now Jesus travels from Bethany to Jerusalem.

He's going to the temple and this is where we pick up with Jesus and we're going to read from Mark chapter 11 versus 12 through 18 and this is what it says.

The next morning as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry.

And he noticed a fig tree in full leaf a little way off.

So he went over to see if he could find any figs.

But there were only leaves, because it was too early in the season for fruit.

Then Jesus said to the tree, may no one ever eat your fruit again, and the disciples heard him say it. Well when they arrived back in Jerusalem

Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables, the money

changers and the chairs of those selling doves, and he stopped everyone from using the temple

as a marketplace.
