How about we start with JJ Reddick?

Let's do it. Blake and I cut the whole thing up.

He took the first half. I took the second half. He set up there for 50 minutes, which is probably

normal. I'm distracted by the thing that we've mentioned a hundred times, which is that

their GM is named Rob and also looks like Rob Lowe. Oh, does he? Rob Polica? I never really noted what he looks like. Dude, look it up. I am good. You don't think so, Blake? I absolutely think so. He looks exactly like Rob Loeb. I guess now that you mention it, I was more, I was more thrown off that they had handheld mics. Oh, yeah, he does. Typically, they're at a podium, but it was weird them having to raise their microphone the whole time. And Polinka has aged a lot since they got LeBron, too. I don't know if you've noticed that, because he looked way more like Rob Love five years ago. That's true. He's he's feeling the president

aging system right now, which is probably what it's like to have to be the general manager

of a team with LeBron and Jay Moore is your boss. Yeah, I don't know. From what I understand,

LeBron had nothing to do with he doesn't even talk to him at all. Yeah, we'll hear that.

All right.

This was the introduction to the press conference, and I think Polinka put this in a better way than I tried to explain yesterday. But I told you this felt like a very NFL hire where you're trying to get the young Wunderkin offensive guru. Yeah. where in the past you were trying to get the former middle

linebacker, right, the Mike Singletary, the guy that's just going to yell at everybody,

but now the play is to get Kyle Shanahan, who was a nobody, but he's a wizard. And I think

he puts us in a pretty good way of why they hired Reddick. It's an exciting day. When we

set out on the journey to name the next Lakers coach, we really had in mind

concepts around innovation and challenging ourselves to be forward thinking.

I think in industry in general and in sports in specific, sometimes it's easy to get caught up in patterns of being in a sea of sameness and doing the same thing that everybody else is doing.

But when we embarked on this search, it was really important for us to see if we could do something a little bit different.
