The United States has accused Russia of using chemical weapons in Ukraine, specifically the choking

agent, chloropocrine, to achieve military advantages violating the Chemical Weapons Convention which Russia is a signatory

to, despite Russia's previous denials and claims of having destroyed its chemical weapons

stockpile as per the CWC. These recent allegations suggest ongoing

violations, including the use of riot control agents and other toxic gases in combat.
