Yesterday as we came on the air we reported that a container ship collided with the Francis

Gockey Bridge and the bridge collapsed.

We have a lot more details this morning. The first of which is that the

ship called in a May day, which allowed law enforcement officers to direct personnel to divert traffic away from the bridge.
