1:08.5	Well, on April 24th, the Arizona House of Representatives
1:12.1	voted 32 to 28 to repeal a stringent
1:15.2	1864 abortion ban with the aid of three Republicans who crossed party lines to join
1:20.4	with the Democrats. The Civil War era law which we talked about on this show as
1:24.6	well as others was revived by a state Supreme Court ruling and lacks exceptions for
1:30.4	cases such as rape or incest and could be reinstated unless the state
1:34.4	Senate with a narrow Republican majority also agrees to its appeal.
1:39.3	Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs expressed her readiness to sign the appeal, emphasizing that decisions
1:44.0	about reproductive health care should reside with individuals rather than politicians.
