What's the lowdown?

Give me the gossip.

So I could do that.

But instead of giving you the gossip, I think today would be better spent talking about the drug of gossip.

So that is our episode today, you guys.

We're talking all about how gossip has become a drug in our society. I think it can be really contagious and negative. And I think kind of one of our main goals in this episode is just maybe to bring a little bit of light to it and stop the cycle and really hone in on what that looks like. Also, just a quick disclaimer. Obviously, we're human. Bree and I are both completely human. And I think everyone has had moments are not necessarily proud of and just little things here and there. So we're not, this isn't like a holier than now episode. We're not saying you're condemned or terrible if you've ever done this. It's just more about bringing light to it and rising above and realizing that I think this is actually a real issue in our society and what can we do in our

everyday lives to actually make it better. Gossip is a drug. It definitely is. It's addicting.

It's also a virus. I view it as a disease and it spreads so quickly. And I have this quote from

Will Rogers that I love. And it says,

rumor travels fast, but it don't stay put as long as truth. Amen, sister. Right? Yeah.

I love that. And it's so true. And you're right. Everybody does gossip. And it does impact everybody as well. And it goes from the high celebrities that you see in social media all the way to kids. So who participates in gossip? I mean, I think it's everyone. You have the person actually gossiping. You have the person they're gossiping about and the person they're gossiping too.

So really like three main participants, I would say in the cycle.
