What is it with the drones that are being sighted all over the place on the East Coast,

especially in New Jersey, of all places. The appearance

of unidentified aerial objects has dominated the news in recent days around the East Coast, with

politicians demanding answers, offering explanations of what might be happening. Some of them

bizarre. But what does this mean? Is our society simply being overwhelmed

with mistrust for anything that authorities tell us? That's our subject for Potomac Watch today.

I'm here with Bill McGern and Kim Strassel. Welcome to you both. Well, the drone

panic is all over the place here. And you can tell because Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader,

has on the case with a presser. And let's listen to him, talk about what he wants.

We're asking the DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, to deploy special

detection systems like the Robin, which use not a linear line of sight, but 360-degree

technology that has a much better chance of detecting these drones.

And we're asking DHS to bring them to the New York, New Jersey area.
