It's great to have you.

Great to be here. So first of all it is September 11th.

I would be remiss if I did not ask you as a New Yorker to share some of your thoughts with us today.

We all remember where we were and how we felt, how our nation responded.

An incredible sacrifice that's been paid since.

We lost so many that day.

We lost many due to 9-11 related illnesses afterwards and

so many service members sacrificed tremendously overseas since so you know it's just a day that we just need to take a step back from

politics and and partisanship while we also are so close to an election so you know you and I have a lot to talk about and

certain other topics can't get forgotten

we need to find sometime today for reflection and gosh I really wish that our country had more people

who would think about that emotion and that feeling that perspective other times of

the year not just for a small period of reflection

on September 11th.

Yeah, well said, Congressman, well said.

But we do have to talk politics like you mentioned because we have the big debate last night.

I mean I wish they had picked another date for it, but nevertheless here we are.
