1:14.0	Our story today is from September 26, 1936.
1:17.8	It's titled The Dreammaker.
1:41.0	It's called The Dreammaker. The Columbia Workshop on the direction of Irving Reef.
1:47.7	Ladies and gentlemen, the Columbia Workshop offers its ninth program in a series devoted to experimental radio.
1:49.6	We're happy to announce that Orson Welles' presentation of the first two acts of Shakespeare's
1:53.7	Hamlet brought the largest mail response of any program presented so far in this series.
1:58.9	Many of you requested us to do the balance of the play this week.
2:02.4	Unfortunately, Mr. Wells is opening his new play this evening and could not be here.
2:06.7	However, we are planning to present the other three acts at the earliest opportunity.
2:10.9	And thanks to your interest, we are also making arrangements to present similar treatments
2:14.9	from the other plays of Shakespeare.
2:17.3	Tonight, we're dividing the program into two parts.
2:19.8	The first 15 minutes will be devoted to an original dramatization by Charles Burton,
2:24.1	who uses his pen to give us the inside story on the ghost and nightmare racket.
2:28.4	In the second half, the workshop, in conjunction with the EE-free laboratories,
2:33.5	uses the tools of science to analyze the shadows that walk in the night.
