Would you want people to be heroic? Don't we want to take on the identity of hero?

Here's a little tougher to figure out why that would be such a danger. The hero comes in and just

handles it and takes care of it. The challenge, of course, is that nobody can actually ever

live up to that image. Part of the charm of a hero story is that it's a fantasy that you put

yourself in. We will hand ourselves over to the

fantasy and we will think that we're heroic and then be shocked when other people don't respond to us

in that way.
