Hello and welcome to the travel cast, 10 years of strange stories, retrospective, part two.

In part one you heard about our conception and where the idea came from.

You heard a little inside baseball about me back in the day, and you heard from our early

editorial team, my co-eders and best friends Luke and Kendall.

Let's jump right in now where we left off.

The year is 2010 and the troublecast was looking for a new editor to help out. One that we eventually found with writer Matthew Bay,

a guy who had been editing a really weird but hilarious

publication out of Austin, Texas, called Space Squid.

You can already tell where two peas in a pot, huh?

And Matthew had submitted a few times to the travel cast so far

with no luck before eventually landing a couple hits with his really gross parasite story called

Eggs in episode 8 and two really great stories that we ran in our premium content podcast, Travel Cast B-Sides,

Snuggle the Dead in episode 8, and The Elves Hate You in

Episode 13.
