They had just had their fairy tale wedding, and they had promising lives ahead of them.

But it was all a lie.

I don't know how this story could get any more tragic.

The couple once nicknamed Ken and Barbie by their friends were actually one of the most brutal and sadistic serial killer couples in history

and committed some of the most horrific crimes that Canada has ever seen.

The idea that these were the bad guys, that they were capable of doing anything so vile,

is something that's hard for us to comprehend.

And one of them is currently walking free today.
