Hey, Sam. Hi, Matt. I'm looking out my office window right now, and we got about a foot of snow

out there, I think. Yeah, that's too. Let's talk about the weather. Yes. Yes, it's better than talking

about politics. That's true. We're recording this intro, the snowy last weekend in January,

but we recorded this episode on Wednesday, January 21st, and it is about Venezuela, the kidnapping

to President Duro, Greenland, and if you recall, Wednesday, the 21st was the day

Trump gave his big speech at Davos.

So this is basically about the Dunrow Doctrine, well, both the Monroe Doctrine and the Dunrow

doctrine.

So it is a know-your-enemy venture into foreign policy.

And I have to admit, sometimes I'm nervous before these

episodes where I feel a little out of my depth. But I really learned a lot from our guests,

David Adler and Matt Kirkagard. And I think listeners will appreciate some of the ground we break in

here or some of the ways we formulate things because it was that loveliest of all feelings for a

podcaster, the pleasure of like discovery in real time.

I had a lot of fun recording.
