We're going to get right into this.

When we left the Donner Party in part three,

they were just 50 miles out from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Truckee Meadows.

Now, the party, they had split at one point,

but now they're back together again, one large party. We have the Donner Party as a whole now.

And meanwhile, James Reed and Walter Herron were someplace many, many, many miles up ahead of the Donner Party on the trail, just trying

their goddamest to make it to Sutter's Fort in Sacramento, California, so that they could get

provisions and food, oxen, and whack, everything they needed to get the Donner Party back to civilization

in California. And I'd say that pretty much catches us up, wouldn't you, Joe?

Did you wait until I ripped my mic out of the table to ask me that?

Yeah.

That is strategic.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'm sitting there fucking with my mic.

And I'm like, please God, don't need me for a second.

I rip it comes out of the table and all of a sudden.

I would say that catches us up, yeah, on the way to doing the thing.

Now, I know there's a lot of parts to this, but this is a whole lot of story. This is a big, fat,

meaty story. It's got a lot of girth and length to it. It's probably the most story I've ever had to take into my body at one time to write the right for TCK.
