Yesterday we were speculating about what it could, what could Ron DeSantis say as the Trump

people and Trump's acolytes were putting pressure on him to denounce the potential indictment

of Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney.

And just a couple hours after we finished taping the podcast, DeSantis said something and

because for the last month, maybe not quite the month, but we've been pretty critical

of DeSantis's communications strategy as, not also policy, but also his decision to emphasize

the idea that we did not have a national interest in the Ukrainians prevailing in Ukraine.

But I was very surprised by how adept and clever his approach to talking about Trump yesterday

was.

And so much so that while I anticipated various types of responses from him, I did not anticipate
