Happy Thanksgiving, man. How are you?

You know what? I am good. So I'm going to tell you, I'm going to talk about Thanksgiving for a moment because this has been a particularly difficult year for myself.

And, you know, you know, if you're a liberal, you didn't have a great year either. But, you know, I lost my father in September. And, you know, I talked about that

on the lost episode of this podcast. But I can talk, I want to talk about it now because after

my dad died, you know, a lot of things that you hear if you have a

loved one, if you lose a loved one is, oh, the holidays are going to be very hard for you. Like,

that's one of the warnings you get. And for a lot of people, it is hard, you know, like for Phoebe

Kate's in Gremlins and stuff like that. Like, you have, you know, you have bad memories tied. The classic example. That is the classic. If you ever watch that speech is the fucking darkest Christmas speech you will

ever hear. Anyway, so, you know, I was thinking about that after my dad died, but I never got that

sense of dread. And I was telling my mom this, I called her on the phone. I was like, I'm actually, I'm really looking forward to the holidays because, you know, I'd spend every

Christmas or Thanksgiving, you know, if not with my wife's family, then with my family. And

all of those memories are good. I have a good, like, I think the only bad memory I had is like

when my sister, when she was like eight, she knocked down the Christmas tree.

And my dad yelled, you've ruined Christmas at her.

And that's like now a stock joke in the family.

Like anytime like someone takes like too many potato chips or something, it's like,

you've ruined Christmas.

And then we all that.

That's a pretty wild thing to get to say in earnest in your life.
