Well, it is a brand new year, so it seems only right to extend the hand of friendships to all of you who have been citizens of the Republic since the beginning.

To those of you who have only just discovered it in our new evening slot, and to many of you who are joining us for the very first time, after being away for nearly two weeks, I can tell you, I've returned to the studio with a newfound vigour, with an even more keen determination to find out the truth, the whole truth and nothing

but the truth, and with a bigger mandate than ever to sort out the state that this country is in.

Because as you know, we've got an election looming, and for many of us, it will be a defining

election, a moment in history, a seminal event that could change the way that

Britain operates for the next decade. Do we want more indecision about our futures? Do we want

more amnesty for illegal immigrants? Do we want more public money spent on making life easy for

those who do not wish to work for it? Can we afford to be held to ransom any longer by our

public services, the ones that we pay so much for,

but who are failing us at every turn.

Tonight we start 2024 as we mean to go on, asking all the right questions.

Number one, are we really going to continue to buy this ludicrous propaganda

coming from the hospital picket lines that doctors can't make a decent living in this country?
