and this is our continuing coverage of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts versus Karen Reed.

For those of you who may not be familiar with the case against Karen Reed, this is a bit of a primer.

John O'Keefe was a Boston police officer who was dating a woman named Karen Reed on January

28th and 2022 in Canton, Massachusetts, the couple went out to enjoy some

food, beverages, and company with friends. The evening's festivities began at a local haunt called CF McCarthy's, where Karen and

John hung out for a couple hours before they made their way over to the waterfall bar and

grill, to meet up with a larger group of friends, to listen to some live music, enjoy

some more beverages, and hang out with their friends.

Shortly after midnight, as it was last call, an impromptu plan for an after-party developed

as Brian Albert, another Boston cop, invited everyone back to his house for a nightcap. The large group began leaving the bar at

around 12.15 a.m. a few people at a time as they began to head over to the

Albert home which was located at 34 Fairview in Canton. Now this is where the story gets a little murky as the facts aren't exactly clear but it's believed that Karen Reed and John O'Keefe made their way over to 34 Fairview as John was texting with one of the party goers a woman named Jen McCabe who happens to be the sister-in-law of Brian Albert.
