On July 28, 1945, a B-25 Mitchell Bomber crashed into the Empire State Building's 79th floor

in dense fog, killing 14 crew, 11 office workers, and injuring 26, piloted by L.T. William Smith, Jr., the plane in route from

Massachusetts, New York, in New York, hit at 250 miles per hour going very fast, causing

a massive fire and over a million dollars in damage, which adjusted for inflation is way more than $1 million.

So that, the building's robust design,

somehow we can put up a picture of it, take a look at this.

Somehow, it was able to almost entirely go unscathed

from the standpoint of the rest of the building.

That's insane.

And let's put up the other. That's, that's insane.

And let's, let's put up the other picture because this, so that is, I believe we now know that's an AI photo of it, but it is a real event that did happen.

And it was actually even less damage than shown in that photo, which is remarkable.

Because it went very fast into the building.

And so you compare 9-11 right there where the whole building collapses because of the

plane going into it.

A way more modern crash, by the way, in a building that was supposed to be almost indestructible.

And you compare that to what happened with the B-25 in 1945, and it's not even close.
